Gator News: 6/11/18
Our Gators swam fast last Saturday, but in the end the Brookside Waves came out on top. Final score: Brookside 279, Eichler 195.
Our next meet is this Saturday at home against Saratoga Woods. Parent job sign-ups were opened last Saturday and will close at 10:00 pm on Tuesday night, the same deadline for swimmer sign-ups. Please remember to sign up your swimmers for the meet by 10:00 pm Tuesday Night--your kids will NOT swim if you do not sign them up. If, after the Swimtopia deadline Tuesday night, your swimmer cannot attend the meet for some reason or will need to leave early or come late because of another obligation, please send an e-mail to "firstname.lastname@example.org

TEEN DINNER #2: CHINESE FOOD--WEDNESDAY JUNE 13
Teen Dinners offer a wonderful team-bonding experience for our middle and high school Gators.
When: Teen Dinners are on the Wednesday before a meet weekend. Dates are June 6, June 13, June 20, July 27, and July 11 (no dinner July 4). There are 2 seatings following the practices for the older age groups. The seating for middle schoolers is at 7pm, and the seating for high schoolers is at 8pm.
Who: Eichler Gators in middle and high school (age 11 and up, including rising 6th graders) as well as recent Gator alums
Where: Outside, near the club room and kiddie pool area
Individual dinners cost $12. Pay by cash or check (payable to Eichler Swim Team) on the night of the dinner. Whether you pre-pay or not, please RSVP on Swimtopia by the Monday before each dinner so we can get an accurate count for the food order.
Participation in Teen Dinners is a privilege. Swimmers are expected to act with maturity and to treat the club, each other, and parent volunteers with respect. This Saturday, we host Saratoga Woods at Eichler. Warm-ups start at 7:50 am (see schedule below). Please note that this is an EARLIER time as the host team warms up first, and the visiting team gets the pool afterwards. Please do not park in the parking lot; it is reserved for our visiting team. However, you may drive through to drop off your swimmers and their “stuff,” or walk or bike instead.
Warm-up times this Saturday morning are:
7:50-8:05 a.m. - Pre-Comp, 6-7 year old, 8-9 year old, 10-11 year old age practice groups
8:00-8:20 a.m. – High School practice group
8:05-8:20 a.m. - 11-18 year old practice group (6:00 pm to 7:00 pm)
The meet begins at 9 am.
Make sure that your swimmer applies sunscreen and reapplies as needed during the meet. You may want to bring more than 1 towel, collapsible chairs, warm clothing for your swimmer and activities for younger swimmers to keep them entertained between their races. When you are setting up "camp", please try and keep a path open so that everyone can access their own area.
At the end of the meet, please clean up your area and move any chairs you’ve moved back to the original spot.
SOLSTICE SWIM--SATURDAY, JUNE 16
These are the longest days of the year, the weather is warm... what better way to celebrate than bringing your dinner and drinks to the club, enjoying time with old and new friends, and swimming late into the evening. S'mores, pool games and a coin toss are part of the fun! Did someone say Cannonball Contest?!
Please remember to BYO reusable plates, cups, and utensils and to clean up after yourself.
Come to club around 6:30 Pool games start at 7:00. Coin toss at 8:00 pm followed by s’mores.
