Eichler Gators Registration 2022

Welcome to the 2022 Eichler Gators Swim season. We're thrilled to offer a family focused swim program that concentrates on making swimming both FUN and SAFE! 

By registering your family receives:

  • Practices: Up to five days a week of team practice with an experienced, professional coach
  • Competitions: A fun "Gators Only" practice meet, four dual meets, and the Championship meet
  • Social Events: A summer filled with wonderful social events for the whole family
  • Apparel: A free t-shirt!

All swimmers MUST be members in good standing of the Eichler Club (no guests or pending/waitlisted members). All swimmers must be registered, paid swimmers with the Eichler Gator Swim program to participate. Sorry, we can not prorate the amount if a swimmer does not attend all practices.

Payment is accepted via PayPal or Credit Card.

Early Bird special, BEFORE May 1st:

  • $340 for the 1st swimmer in a family
  • $300 for additional swimmers

May 1st or later: 

  • $380 for the 1st swimmer in a family
  • $340 for additional swimmers

Please provide email addresses for your swimmers to facilitate communication with the coaching staff for any practice adjustments or announcements. Use a semicolon to separate multiple addresses.

Eichler Membership Required

You must be a dues paying member, in good standing, of the Eichler Swim and Tennis Club to participate in the Eichler 2022 Summer Youth Swim Program.

The Eichler Swim and Tennis Club is a private club that is capped at 300 families. This rule is determined by the City of Palo Alto as well as the Eichler Club bylaws.

Eichler 2022 Swim Team Code of Conduct and Policies

The Eichler Swim Team promotes respect, good sportsmanship, and responsibility to team members, coaches, the Club, and opponents from other Clubs. The team relies heavily on the good citizenship of its member families to support these qualities and to render participation on the team a fun, safe, and rewarding experience for all members.

The team’s Swim Committee is most concerned about the safety of our swimmers as it's foremost priority. The Eichler Club and Swim Team Committee jointly believe that it is a privilege to be on the Swim Team and, if necessary, will not hesitate to revoke this privilege from any team member whose behavior puts their or any other member's safety at risk. The same applies to any behavior that is deemed to be disruptive to the performance and/or spirit of the team as a whole by the team’s coaching staff.

Specifically, physically fighting with any other user of the Club and/or disregard of Club rules and regulations are grounds for suspension and/or expulsion from the team. The Swim Team Committee will make every reasonable effort to ensure that any actions taken are administered fairly to all parties involved. The Swim Team Committee will have final authority over any actions taken to preserve the safety and good member experience by all Eichler members.

Note that swimmers eight years old and younger will only be allowed to swim at practice when accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains at the pool the duration of the practice.

To acknowledge my agreement and support of the above policies, we, the swim team members and their parent/guardian listed below, hereby give our consent to this policy and agree to abide by any disciplinary measures taken by the Swim Team Committee.

Parent / Guardian Code of Conduct Acknowledgement

Eichler Gators Swimming is fun for our kids, but it functions 100% on the hard work of its members. Meets, social events and other Gator activities function through the diligent parents/guardians of the swimmers in the pool.

All families are expected to work a minimum of 10 shifts during the season:

  • At least 2 shifts must be filled at the Practice meet (May 21)
  • At least 1 shift must be filled at Champs (July 10)
  • Remaining shifts may be filled at dual meets (June 4, 11, 18, 25) and social events (dates TBD)

The jobs are easy and are a very fun way to be part of the Eichler community. Job signups happen through SwimTopia (this site), where you have options once you have registered.

Families with lengthy summer travel plans or unique hardships that could hinder completion of 10 job shifts should contact the Swim Team Chairs or the Gator Jobs Coordinator before registering to make special arrangements. Please understand that such exemptions are rare and will not excuse a family from fulfilling at least some team jobs.

If you are unwilling or unable to work at swim meets, social events or other Eichler Gator events, please do not register for Eichler Gators Swim Team.

By agreeing to the Parent Code of Conduct, you are agreeing to participate with your time and energy to make this a great summer for all swimmers.

The Eichler Swim Team Committee reserves the right to dismiss families and swimmers if obligations to the team are not met.
